About Horton Early Childhood Development

Helping St. Petersburg’s Youngest Learners Build a Strong Foundation

A Project 3 Fold Partner Supporting Children and Families Through Early Childhood Education

Horton Early Childhood Development is dedicated to giving young children a strong start through quality early learning, nurturing care, and meaningful developmental experiences. By providing a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, play, and grow, Horton helps build the foundation for success in school and beyond.

Just as importantly, access to dependable early childhood education provides critical support for working parents and families. Quality childcare gives parents the confidence and flexibility they need to pursue employment, education, and other opportunities while knowing their children are learning and thriving in a caring environment.

Growing with Project 3 Fold

As part of the Project 3 Fold campus in St. Petersburg, Horton Early Childhood Development will operate an expanded early learning facility designed to serve up to 120 children, ages 1–4.

The planned center will provide dedicated spaces for early learning and development, along with opportunities for outdoor play and age-appropriate activities. By integrating early childhood education into the larger Project 3 Fold campus, families will also be connected to a broader network of resources and support—all within one shared community.

Supporting Children Means Supporting Families

Early childhood education is about more than preparing children for kindergarten. It can strengthen entire families by providing stability, creating opportunities for working parents, and helping children develop the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills they need during some of the most important years of their lives.

This family-centered approach makes Horton Early Childhood Development an essential part of the Project 3 Fold vision.

Building Stronger Futures Together

Project 3 Fold brings together the complementary strengths of Horton Early Childhood Development, Radius Church, and Volunteers of America Florida (VOAF) to address the interconnected needs of individuals and families in St. Petersburg.

By combining early childhood education with affordable housing, family support services, arts and cultural opportunities, community gathering spaces, and direct outreach, Project 3 Fold is creating an environment where children and families can grow together.

Through this partnership, Horton Early Childhood Development will help ensure that some of the community’s youngest residents have the care, encouragement, and opportunities they need to build a strong foundation for the future.
