About Volunteers of America
Building Stability, Independence, and Opportunity Across Florida
A Project 3 Fold Partner Serving Individuals and Families in Need
Volunteers of America Florida (VOAF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome challenges and build more stable, independent lives. As part of the nationwide Volunteers of America network, VOAF provides housing and supportive services to some of Florida’s most vulnerable residents, combining safe, affordable places to live with the resources people need to move forward.
For decades, VOAF has worked throughout Florida to address critical needs including affordable and supportive housing, homelessness, behavioral health, employment support, and services for veterans and individuals with disabilities. Its approach recognizes that stable housing is often the foundation upon which people can rebuild their lives.
More Than Housing
VOAF’s work goes beyond providing a place to live. Through supportive services and partnerships with community organizations, residents can access resources designed to promote stability, self-sufficiency, and long-term success.
This whole-person approach makes Volunteers of America Florida a natural partner in the vision for Project 3 Fold.
As part of the planned Project 3 Fold campus in St. Petersburg, VOAF will operate a 90-unit affordable housing community featuring one- and two-bedroom apartments. Residents will also have convenient access to the campus’s integrated Nonprofit Hub, connecting them with support services, job readiness resources, emergency assistance, and other programs designed to help individuals and families thrive.
Stronger Communities Through Partnership
Project 3 Fold brings together the complementary strengths of Volunteers of America Florida, Radius Church, and Horton Early Childhood Development in one shared community campus.
By combining affordable housing and support services with early childhood education, family resources, arts and cultural opportunities, community gathering spaces, and direct outreach, the partnership is designed to address more than a single need.
Together, we are working to create a lasting community resource built on dignity, stability, opportunity, and visible care—giving individuals and families not simply a place to live, but a stronger foundation for the future.
